DrawPed: Examples


Below are some examples of pedigree charts that DrawPed can draw.
For each example we provide the pedigree structure (PED format, without family ID column - can be pasted as-is into DrawPed), the SVG of the pedigree chart and a link to play with this pedigree in DrawPed.

Small family with autosomal dominant inheritance. open in DrawPed  |  download pedfile

Two generations with parents known to be consanguineous. open in DrawPed  |  download pedfile

Note that the CONSANGUINEOUS flag tells DrawPed that the parents are relatives.

Three generations, autosomal recessive inheritance. open in DrawPed  |  download pedfile

Note that the proband has one affected brother and a sibling of unknown sex, who was also affected and was miscarried.

Note that it is not necessary to set the CONSANGUINEOUS flag here, since the blood relatives connecting 3-1 and 3-2 are part of the pedigree.
